In addition to celebrating the positive work of people of faith in and around the nation’s capital, this project was conceived as a way to generate significant support for the InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington (IFC).
Created in 1978, the IFC brings together eleven historic faith communities to promote dialogue, understanding and a sense of community among persons of diverse faiths and to work cooperatively for social and economic justice in metropolitan Washington. IFC members are the Baha’i, Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Jain, Jewish, Latter-day Saints, Protestant, Roman Catholic, Sikh and Zoroastrian faith communities. Learn more about IFC’s programs here.
By supporting Faith in Action DC, participants bring much needed financial and human resources to ensure that IFC’s vital community-building work continues.
Ways you can support:
– Arrange for your community to host an exhibition event featuring photographs and discussion of the issues;
– Contact us about community service events and activities that you are connected with so we can feature your good work on this website;
– Contact the IFC about volunteer opportunities.
